Complete 1 Mission to earn a unique site-specific prize. Complete 3 Missions to be entered into a raffle to win tickets to the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Complete 5 Missions to be entered to win a three-month pass to CuriOdyssey. Complete 7 Misions to be entered to win tickets to the Oakland Zoo. Complete 9 Missions to be entered to win tickets to watch the San Francisco Giants play against the Colorado Rockies on September 27th.

The winner of the Oakland Zoo tickets had a great time at the zoo and playing the Bay Area Explorer:

The second annual Bay Area Explorer Campaign took place on July 1 – August 31, 2021. Players were able to get involved in local parks and earn badges by completing Missions in the area!

Explore the Bay Area

Keep an eye out for this year’s “Explore the Bay Area” Mission, which will launch on July 1. You can play this fun Mission from home, and it will count toward your total amount of Missions played for the Explorer Campaign! To get started, search up “Explore the Bay Area” and tap the Challenge markers to learn about what you can discover by visiting any of the participating sites.

Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks has generously donated a Golden Poppy Annual Pass to be awarded to one Bay Area Explorer! This popular California State Parks pass includes many of the premiere “destination” parks in the redwood region, and most of the state reservoirs.  Parks like Julia Pfeiffer Burns and Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park on the Monterey coast are included along with coastal units in San Luis Obispo and the Channel Coast area. View the Golden Poppy Annual Pass Terms and Conditions and a complete list of parks accepting and not accepting the pass.
